Product Description

WRDA P162Q is a ready-to-use aqueous solution of selected hydroxylated organic compounds. Ingredients are factory premixed in exact proportions to minimise handling, eliminate mistakes and guesswork.

WRDA P162Q is formulated to comply with the following chemical admixture specification for concrete: SS 320:1987. ASTM C494 Type A and Type D; BS5075: Part 1.

One liter of WRDA P162Q weighs approximately 1.10kg ± 0.02kg.

Addition Rates

WRDA P162Q admixture has recommended dosage ranges of between 300 and 800mL / 100kg of cement or cementitious materials. The amount to be used will depend on the extension of setting time required under the job conditions. Longer setting times or higher temperatures will require higher addition rates. Conversely, the addition rates will be lower for shorter extensions of time. Consult a local GCP representative for assistance in determining the dosage rate for optimum performance.

Packaging

WRDA P162Q is available in bulk, in 205L drums and in 1,000L totes. It contains no flammable ingredients. WRDA P162Q will freeze at about -2°C, but will return to full strength after thawing and thorough agitation.

Applications

WRDA P162Q admixture retards the initial and final set of concrete throughout the recommended dosage range and provides better slump retention than normal retarding admixtures. WRDA P162Q admixture also gives water reduction of typically 8 to 15% in the recommended dosage range.

WRDA P162Q admixture is recommended for use in all concrete where extended setting time, superior workability and pumpability are desired in applications, for example, hot weather concreting application, or large volume concrete pours.

Compatibility with Other Admixtures

WRDA P162Q admixture is compatible in concrete with all other GCP admixtures. WRDA P162Q admixture can be used alone as a single admixture or in combination with other admixtures to achieve cost effective customized performance. If used in combination with other admixtures, each admixture should be added separately.
